If y’all ever in Northeast Philly, you HAVE to check out Al Sham. their lamb kebab is out of this world! I'm not even kidding, it's so juicy, every bite is just so tasty with flavor. They really know how to cook it just right, Its Amazing! the place itself is really cool. The person who works or owns the place is super nice and make you feel right at home. Plus, they make the food look really good too, not that it needs it, haha! Honestly, if you're looking for a good place to eat in Northeast Philly, you gotta try Al Sham. Whether you live around here or you're just visiting, do yourself a favor and get the lamb kebab. You won't regret it! It's definitely one of my favorite spots now. Next Try will be the T-Bone Steak😋
Okay, so I finally checked out Al Sham, and wow, I'm still thinking about it! Seriously, this place is a total gem. From the second I walked in, I was digging the vibe – it's got this cool mix of modern and traditional, which just makes you feel good, you know? But let's get to the real deal: the food. I started with the hummus, and man, it was like velvet in my mouth. And the pita bread? Fresh out of the oven, I swear. Then I had the falafel, which was perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. For my main course, I went with the grilled kebabs, and they were seriously amazing. So juicy and flavorful – I could've eaten them all night! The staff was super friendly and helpful, too. They knew their stuff and made some great recommendations. Honestly, Al Sham is more than just a restaurant; i
UPDATE: The owner reached out personally within hours to address my concerns regarding consistency. As a former restaurant professional, I really value an owner who takes direct accountability and is proactive about kitchen standards. I’m moving this to 4 stars for the excellent service recovery and the quality of the chicken shawarma. I'll be back next week to try the lamb again—if the consistency is there, this is easily a 5-star neighborhood staple.
First time ordering here! Ordered the mixed kebab entree, hummus with pita, chicken wings, & Cajun fries. Perfectly spiced and crispy fires, seasoning all around was delicious, chicken and beef cooked perfectly, and hummus was great. The pita was a bit dry, but not too bad. Overall great pick for tonight’s dinner & will definitely order again.
Tried the combo shawarma tbh it wasn't good could definitely improve it was dry bread was cold very less sauce then tried the new york al sham style combo over rice which was the best thing especially if you love spicy
