Customer Reviews
Well I took Friday off and made this a bucket list to make a comparison to Old School Manny's deli and cafeteria. Surprisingly the food for their corned beef deli is delicious in another way. Quality was good it's not as greasy or thick as Manny's corned beef which you'll have a food coma if you ate a whole corned beef or pastrami sandwich over there here the way they make their sandwich is similar to Jason's deli if anybody remembers Jason's deli. Jason's deli was not bad but it wasn't greasy if you're the type that likes greasy salty corned beef if it's done right like Manny's then that's what you should go otherwise if you don't like that feel this might not be a restaurant or cafeteria to eat at. The corned beef in regards to quality their Mile high corned beef was light and delicious
Being from Texas I wanted to stop and get an authentic deli style sandwich (I normally go to subway) On the way to the airport Apple Maps recommended this spot. I can judge only based off taste. It was amazing. I explained to the staff I was clueless and they had me get a half corn beef half pastrami on rye with Swiss cheese. It did not disappoint!! Mine was a little pricey at $25 with a drink however they have daily specials that should keep you close to $10. Overall great spot to stop for a hand sliced made to order sandwich. Highly recommend.
We love coming to Al & Joe's , their sandwiches are always delicious. Definitely a must if you are near Franklin Park.
Iconic Chicago sandwich shop, no idea why they even have liquor, but I don’t care. The meats and cheeses were sliced to order and the service was quick and friendly. The bread was soft on the inside, and chewy on the outside. I had chicken salad and it was more complex than I expected, with grapes, onion, and celery in it. Delicious. I want to go back already.
Um, did something happen? No pastrami or corned beef, just 5 different sandwiches? First time there, excited for pastrami. Not on the board so ordered the italian sub thinking would still be solid given the reviews. Plenty of meat, but zero flavor. Not sure if maybe they changed hands? Probably won't be back.
