Akuma Ramen & Sushi Bar

One of the best around, food-wise. I loved everything I have eaten here over the past few weeks. Service is a bit lacking so far, but only in the area of efficiency. They are all very nice/polite, and again, the food is primo. The place is pretty small, so don’t be alarmed if you get there and you’re going to have to wait to sit. However, I have not had to await the last few times.—perhaps we got lucky.

Service was mediocre. Food was TERRIBLE! We understand some places don’t have kids menu so we adapted and ordered our toddler a teriyaki chicken bowl with the corn and veggies. The chicken tasted like it was boiled for 12 hours and just thrown on top of rice… it tasted like plastic- it was hard and definitely inedible! The kragaan appetizer chicken, like others mentioned tasted like old “Walmart” dried up, old clumpy chicken. The ramen was so bland, no flavor at all and the meat again tasted OLD- like beef jerky! Do yourself a favor and AVOID this terrible place. We paid our $90 bill and after paying we advised Julian (sever) of the inedible chicken bowl and he just laughed and walked away… we suggested he try the chicken himself so he can verify how dry it was- we simply wanted to inform

happy hour all day! came in with a big group of 12 but they were so so nice and helpful, moving around chairs to help seat us!! thankfully was not busy when we came around 2. The garlic truffle ramen was pretty good and a solid portion, and the Ex Boyfriend Roll was SO VERY GOOD

How in the world does this place have 4.9 rating? People rating the cartoons on the walls and not the food. Im only guessing of course but it happens a lot. The tonkotsu ramen broth had a very soy like taste, way more than traditional high end ramen places. The crispy rice spicy tuna was wrong... if you've never had it before, you might like it but it had way way too much spicy mayo and the rice cubes were misproportioned The almost sushi fish to rice ration also mis proportioned. Gyoza very generic theyre definitely not making these in house. Not terrible, most gyoza isnt, but yeah nothing special. This is a one and done for me. They got me with the Akuma! Nice restaurant with good service. I thought the food was of good quality, but just didn't like what we had. My wife and son had sushi and said it was just ok (fish burrito, ex boyfriend, and Akuma roll). My wife also got a house salad with ginger dressing. It was much larger than expected but the dressing was bland with little ginger flavor. My thing is ramen which I get frequently. I thought their tonkotsu was bland. Again, the ingredients were fresh and of good quality but seemed to have no flavor or maybe there was no tarè. The ajitama was perfectly cooked but not really seasoned. It had pork but not the traditional seasoned chasu. It was more like a plain piece of pork meat, sliced thinly, and grilled. It was a good meal but nothing really stood out that would bring us back.
