Akoma Coffee

I enjoyed my first Akoma coffees both from a bag of beans, and from take out on several occasions; especially when I was in the East Bay. Akoma coffee is a unique coffee with both deep, strong notes, and also a few unexpected flavor notes that for me brought in a unique African vibe. It feels to have more dimension than the ubiquitous coffee experience that seems to follow a somewhat expected flavor profile. It brings in some unexpected flavor dimensions that feel unexpected and unique. African soils and climate invite a more provocative coffee experience. Something people should definitely experience.

I'm admittedly very selective when it comes to coffee, refusing to drink Starbucks and Philz. Akoma is my first experience with coffee sourced from Cameroon and has become my go-to for pour overs at home. I've purchased both the green beans for my family to roast and the medium which always has the lovely bloom when I prepare my coffee (too often I've purchased expensive roasts from some boutique shops that fall flat even if the roast date is within a month). I drink coffee black and it has the perfect rounded smoothness with low acidity.

Akoma coffee has an exceptional quality and smooth flavor that take one back to Cameroonian farms where it is grown, it is very refreshing to taste coffee that has not been compromised.

Akoma Coffee is directly sourced from producers in Cameroon and expertly roasted at Akoma. Achille and his colleagues rightfully take great pride in their product. I continue to enjoy this product.

Akoma coffee is delicious! It's smooth and well balanced. I start my morning everyday with the ritual of coffee and every morning I look forward to Akoma coffee! It is the perfect first cup of coffee.
