Akira Ramen Washington - Authentic Japanese Food, Japanese Restaurant

Great service! Very kind waiters despite the business (the place was fully packed). Even gave us a set of cutlery for Christmas. I had a tonkotsu shoyu for $17.50. The ramen was good overall, but the meat slightly burnt. The ice cream tempura was amazing!

I’ve always had great experiences here. The sushi is so fresh and flavorful and I probably get it once a month or so. I got take out for Christmas dinner and when I opened my bag at home I saw they gave me a ceramic mug as a present! That was really sweet and touching.

Im always rather skeptical with take-outs. But with Akira Ramen, having dined in, the take out is just as delicious! Portion is generous, temperature perfect (i live 7 minutes away). As well the packaging is nicely done (soup is separate from the noodles and other toppings).

The food was excellent, the waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was calm and transmitted calm. We ordered the California roll and the lobster roll, it was exquisite. I really recommend this place and this dish. We also ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, the flavor was very rich, but the Vegetable Ramen was undoubtedly much more excellent.

Recently had a great meal at Akira in Adams Morgan. My experience generally hasn’t disappointed me until now. I was severely ill after my most recent dining experience here.
