Know one at check in had to track down. The steps where all ice. Our room didn't have a key for our room so we had to leave it unlocked when we where away. Shower was broken but still got charged full price. Plug ins had no covers on them, very dangerous. Found prior costumers socks, underwear, used condoms, and rubbing oil, all over the room just nasty. Hot water pipes exposed that will burn you. In the 4 days we where there never got new towels or toilet paper. Back door leaked water and flooded the room and got clothes all wet. Under better management and a lot of fixes that place could be a great place to stay and fair prices not doubled. Its not worth your money to stay at AJ'S. My experience at this motel was extremely disappointing. The owner was rude and disrespectful from the start, but what really crossed the line was how she treated guests with service animals. She was openly hostile and said service animals were not welcome, which is completely unacceptable and, from my understanding, against the law. People who rely on service animals deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, not hostility. Watching the way she spoke to guests about their service animals was uncomfortable and upsetting. To make matters worse, the pizza they sell there was awful. Between the rude behavior, the poor treatment of guests with service animals, and the terrible food, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else. Horrible food, the pizza sucked, the owner was super rude on the phone and off. If she hates her job so much, she should sell the place. We decided to stop there despite the horrible reviews that we read trying to give Miss Mary the benefit of the doubt But not to our surprise, she was disgustingly rude. It’s a shame because the place looks beautiful. The hotel room smelled and were outdated. Do not stay here keep driving . It’s not worth the benefit of the doubt!!!!

In regards to the review posted on 1/6/26, i was part of this group. We indeed arrived 10 minutes prior to their doors opening. Upon walking in the front door (which was unlocked) we were rudely greeted by the owner. Telling us in a very nasty tone that they don't open until 12pm, and they will not start serving food until at least 1pm. I understand we were early, and would've gladly waited outside until they were open. Yes, your dog did sneak out the door of your food establishment. We tried to help you retrieve him, but it was apparent you did not want our help. As we were getting ready to leave, you went walking by us again, and didn't even say hello, or please come back in once you were open.
