AJ’s Downtown Dogs

It’s been almost a year since I’ve had the best hotdog in Hampton Roads, simply because I don’t make it to Suffolk often. So when work brought me out that way, I was super excited. Even though I had already eaten, I had to stop by AJ’s Downtown. I ordered my go-to Chicago Dog, and it did not disappoint—absolutely amazing. I was also lucky enough to try one of their newer hotdogs (I can’t remember the exact name, something with “Flying Dog”), and wow… it was incredible. Everything about this spot is top-tier—from the food, to the people who work there, to the owner. They truly serve the best and most unique hotdogs around. If you’re in Suffolk (or even if you’re not), this place is 100% worth the stop.

Great customer service Reuben hot dog delicious and the side of mac and cheese was good. Chicago hot dog terrific. I like the way the tomatoes were cut, a tomato in every bite. The Elevated Mac Dog was great. I loved the bun for that...soft and delicious A fantabulous experience.

I'm not even big on hotdogs.. but when I👏🏾TELL👏🏾YOU👏🏾These are the best I've had in sooo long! Fresh, hot, juicy, and flavorful.. Customer service was great too and its really cute in there, good energy overall..

There's a whole vibe going on inside this place. Fun decor and Motown music. Great customer service. The food was delicious. Tater tots were really good. The hot dogs were tasty, perfectly cooked. I also enjoyed the chili. I highly recommend.

I was at Taste of Suffolk today & Danny's was open & served me a DELICIOUS soft bun HOT DOG, which ketchup, mustard, slaw, onions & chili 😋.
