Egg is not marinated soy sauce egg, soup is not salty enough, waitress is not welcoming may need some more training, ordered waters but the drinks come later than the foods, sausage was nice. Individual building and parking lot, easy to find and park.
Ajisen Ramen is often eaten in China. The taste of this store in the United States is slightly different from that in China. The attitude of the waiter is very good and very welcoming. I like to eat the only spicy noodle in this restaurant, Volcano Ramen. It is recommended for the third level of spiciness. Although it is not spicy enough, it is still rich and delicious. The snacks in this shop are also very rich, there are Western-style fried chicken, and there are also oriental flavors. There are not many places in the restaurant, but the lights are slightly dim. It would be better if it were brighter.
Ajisen is a very unassuming ramen spot from the outside, but their hearty and flavorful bowls will have you coming back. The broth is delicious and balanced, with a fair amount of heat when asked for. The chashu was slightly over and a bit dry and chewy, but still flavorful. The staff was accommodating, but not the most enthusiastic or energetic. I love the fried garlic shakers on the table for that extra flavor enhancement it gives. Although is may not be the nicest, Ajisen is a great place to stop for a quick bowl of ramen.
Ajisen in Irvine was the golden standard for Ramen for me and my family. The spicy beef bowl was something no other spot had and was just addictive with it's flavor and profile. After Irvine ajisen closed we decided to make the trek to temple city one day. We'll today was the day, and I must say in comparison. The atmosphere is much dingier, the people are still delightful, however the food was much more tame, egg and beef were slightly cold while the broth was sizzling hot. The spicy Ramen both had 0 spiciness to it. It was good Ramen but a solid 3/5 as far as Ramen spots go, no complaints really but not the ajisen I use to hold as the gold standard. Will come back and try again another day. Perhaps it was an off day for temple city ajisen.
Had the Tantanmen. It had a very earthy and peanuty flavor. It was medium heat spice. If you like ramen, you can't go wrong going to Ajisen.
