The first thing I noticed and FELT was the welcoming and family oriented energy! I was greeted with smiles and the atmosphere was so comfortable, I stayed longer than planned! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Every single bite got an “MMMM” out of me ! The menu had so many delicious options, it was hard to choose a dish! And since i’m a coffee lover, I wanted to try their traditional coffee. And it was up to my standards! Being an individual that is hesitant about trying new foods, having the courage to try Ethiopian food and being so glad that I did, makes me so proud of myself! This is worth more than 5 starts! I definitely will be back!
This is seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had. Like no exaggeration. If you’re looking for a peaceful night that will casually blow your mind, CHOOSE HERE. RUN. NOW. The food is so incredibly flavorful and fresh, the staff is so sweet, and vibes are peaceful and friendly. This place deserves all the love and all the business. I hope it thrives for many years and we’ll definitely be back. Enjoy this pic of our demolished tray of food!
The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The building is a little older, but they keep it clean and in good shape. It's very bright and has a lot of nice cultural touches. It was a delightful meal. I got the Alichia wot (I'm not sure if I spelled it right), it was great. It's a beef curry, and the spice balance worked very well together. If you're new to this type of food, just a heads up the bread is the utensil that you use to eat the food. It works great to gain all the flavors too. I will be back. The price for the amount of food was great. My meal was $16, and I had enough for a snack at home later as well.
For someone who enjoys a diversity of international cuisine, this is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. The food is delicious and portion sizes will never leave you hungry. The staff are so kind and make a night out to dinner such a joy.
Tried the meat and veggie combo and they both tasted spectacular! Each of the meat and veggie toppings were flavorful and unique paired with the injera which is light, fluffy, and airy. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Also ordered the Ethiopian traditional coffee and the staff usually gives it to you after you have finished your meal. It made a lot of sense when I tried it because the coffee was like a palate cleanser while it had a nice strong scent and flavor to it. Definitely recommend trying this place out.
