Admiral D's Waterfront Tavern

Admirals D Waterfront Tavern offers a great vibe and atmosphere, especially with the beautiful waterfront view. The energy of the place is just right, making it a perfect spot to relax during sundown or have a chat with friends. The waiters were very attentive, which added to the positive experience. However, the food menu was quite limited and nothing really caught my eye, although I did notice a lot of people ordering the hamburger. The drinks were good, but quite pricey at $40 for two cocktails. Overall, it's a cool place to hang out, but be prepared for the high prices.

Nice view and delicious fish tacos. Edit: We've been back a number of times over the years and thought I'd add more content. There's a nice short walking/biking path leading up to D's. There's a really good vibe on a sunny, warm day here and all the way op the strip. The wind can sometimes get a little crazy, but that's not always the case. This is definitely a good spot for a simple meal and a drink overlooking White Bear Lake.

We went to Admiral Ds one evening for drinks and an appetizer before dinner. The patio was maybe 3/4 full and summer was winding down. It took about 15 min to place an order for a drink, and then about 45 minutes to get our canned drinks. Unfortunately, we were not able to order any appetizers because it took so long to get any service.

Great atmosphere and servers were good. I love sitting by the lake. They got my dog some water which was so great! The problem was I ordered a turkey club. What I got was a BLT with 2 thin slices of turkey and it was dry and blah. Do you see turkey? It’s on the left. “Remember the commercial “where’s the beef?” Look at the last turkey sandwich picture. That’s how it should look!! I found the beef! Or actually turkey but at a different restaurant.

10-4-25, we seated in the patio seem to be about eight tables busy four or five staff members first water came 20 minutes after sitting down for a string came 25 minutes later. 25 minutes later was asked if you wanted a second drink, never received it until we asked. Service was so disorganized with all the guests were talking about it only frustrated. He ran into a couple of friends that actually left their table because we were sitting there for 30 minutes. We won’t be back!
