Adams Rib Pit Bar-B-Que

Drove all the way from Hallsville on Sunday because website showed open till 4:00 PM. Tried calling repeatedly, but the phone seemed off the hook; I should have known. Arrived about 2pm, and the place was closed up tight. Painted on a window was "OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK " LOL. I've had their food catered at work anyway, and it isn’t impressive. But I wanted hot links, and they were the only place claiming to be open. They won't be bothered by me again.

I Haven't been inside but the food is awesome! They use to have a bbq leg quarter covered in bbq sauce it was the best! The baked beans and the Macaroni is delicious

My husband is a serious BBQer so he is very picky about eating at a BBQ joint. He & I both were very impressed with how tender the brisket is, the ribs are cooked perfectly w/ a little kick to them. The potato salad is seriously the best I’ve ever had & the Pinto beans packed with flavor. Don’t miss out on the banana pudding! It is almost meringue like! Sinfully good! Highly recommend Adams Rib pit BBQ!

I hate to give this place a four-star rating and only a three for the food, but here’s my reasoning. If your business name has “Rib” in it, the ribs should be absolutely amazing—and that’s where my issue lies. For me, good ribs should hit a certain level of tenderness—not so soft that they completely fall off the bone when you pick them up, but tender enough that you don’t have to fight to get the meat off. Unfortunately, these ribs lacked that perfect tenderness and required more chewing than I expected. That said, I’ve eaten a lot of their other barbecue items—like the sausage and turkey—and they’ve all been fantastic. Everything else has been spot on.
