Acres Wild Retreat

We went to Acres Wild from Dallas as a get away for our son's birthday. The cottage was perfect for the three of us and was super comfy. We loved loved loved the nature trail. Melissa is such a wonderful host and we really enjoyed the fresh eggs, bread, and cookies. We'll be back when we want to escape the concrete jungle of Dallas!

We hosted our wedding weekend at Acres Wild Retreat and it was fabulous. Our wedding was held at the Wildflower (right down the driveway) and our stay at Acres was perfect! Melissa was extremely quick on responding to all of our questions, when we had some issues with our fridge she helped resolve it immediately, and all of our guests raved about the rooms and the cabins. We loved staying there and will definitely return in the future. Can't recommend Acres Retreat enough.

We stayed at the Manor House for 2 nights for our wedding weekend over Memorial Day. We had 20 people total plus our pups at the house and it was comfortable and relaxing for all. Melissa also handled our wedding cake, catering, as well as dog sitting and she was a pleasure to work with every step of the way, including handling a very anxious dog and food allergies. She was quick to respond to all our needs on the spot. the manor house was so beautiful and spacious, we were ALL able to get into vacation-mode quickly. Our wedding guests are still talking about it and the combined experience made it the best wedding for many of them! We enjoyed swimming, peacock and goat watching, smores by the fire, and rock painting, not to mention amazing eats! It was an absolute dream.

We had a family reunion with a large group and were all able to fit in the main house. The house is beautiful, the location is spectacular, and the host is incredibly helpful and was so eager to make our time special. Everything that we needed was included in our stay, and the family also loved the pool. It seems to be an hour or less from so many fun places to visit. I heard all of the family say that they would definitely stay here again and I’m in complete agreement. Acres Wild is an easy 5-stars.

Rented the Manor House for the weekend of our wedding in order to accommodate all our family traveling from out-of-state. This was perfect as it had plenty of rooms/beds and kept everyone close by. Was able to relax and really enjoy time with the family. the photos for the Manor House do not do it justice, as the rooms are actually more spacious than they appeared online! Also, having so many bathrooms was a huge plus with 14 people. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking equipment and there were many ample spaces (living room, patio, kitchen) were people could gather and just hang out.
