Abuela’s Mexican Restaurant

The food is great! Best Mexican food I have had since moving to Iowa. I have been dinning with them since they were one with the Silver Dollar Cantina. Now that they are their own restaurant, they have new options on the menu! Great well rounded establishment. I have had 0 issues in the years I have came here. Great prices, great proportions. If you’re looking for great Mexican food, this is the place!

My husband and I were disappointed. It doesn't look or feel like a mexican restaurant. No music and the booth was uncomfortable. You don't get chips and salsa when you sit down, but you can buy them. The food, in my opinion, was no where near authentic...it looked nothing like the pictures on the menu. The people were nice, but we will not be going back.

The establishment is wonderful! The staff is super friendly. Plus their food is a definite 10/10.

Ordered over the phone, gave specifics on whether we wanted lettuce and extras in food or not. Once order was picked up, Quesadillas were wrong, and a side of rice and beans was missing… Also was told a different total over the phone versus when paying .. Not a happy camper especially when everything is closed or it’s the only option in town.

Absolutely delicious food, great service, and a very chill atmosphere. I've gone here four or five times already amd each time they exceeded my expectations.
