My husband has only tried shawarma when I brought home leftovers from lunch with coworkers so I wanted him to try it fresh and see his thoughts. We decided to try Abu Omar and we were absolutely not disappointed! The place itself is very clean and like the reviews said, really clean bathrooms too! It’s bright enough that you can see, but the lighting isn’t so bright that’s it’s annoying. There’s a fair amount of seating and tables for large groups. Our food though, was absolutely delicious! I got the chicken shawarma rice bowl and my husband got the chicken burrito. I was impressed with the portion size up front. The flavors though!!!! These guys have something good going on! I've been here more than once, and so far, every item I've ordered has been well cooked, seasoned - flavorful overall! Shawarma, Arabi, quesadilla, rice bowl, salad bowl, burrito - they have an ideal number of options for their proteins. The chicken is tasty and their garlic sauce hits the mark . I appreciate that they even season their sides (like the salad) which makes such a difference to the overall experience. Newly opened Abu Omar Halal in Allen is amazing! I tried the chicken shawarma and it was very delicious and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and fast, which made the experience even better. Great food and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Was craving Abu Omar during work today. Had to make my way there. Some of the best food in Allen. I ordered the Beef Shawarma today. It was pretty good. I prefer the lamb I ordered the week before but shoutout to Mohammed taking the time to explain the sauces that work best with the food. Definitely my go to for great eats!
