Abelardo's Mexican Fresh

The air conditioner in the restaurant was dead. It was as hot inside as outside. Stifling hot. The HVAC guy was there working on it. We decided to tough it out. The restaurant is nothing fancy. Kind of dumpy on the outside, an old failed Taco Bueno building (explains the AC being out.) No gratis chips. There is a salsa bar with a good variety. I ordered the chimichanga plate my wife had a bean and cheese burrito with red sauce. The food was excellent. Check the pictures. Better than the “Fresh Mex” places we have in Tulsa. If you have not tried Abelardo’s you should. Surprisingly good. Abelardo’s Mexican Fresh is a large franchise operation scattered across six states. The home office is in Omaha, Nebraska. I can’t believe a bunch of corn huskers could know anything about Mexican food.

This place is great! Great tasting food and the prices were good as well. They have one of the best salsa bars around. I wish Tulsa had a spot like this.

I am not sure why the negative reviews, We absolutely love this place. Tacos are great, and the burritos are fantastic. I highly recommend 👌 the Hot Salsa is actually 🔥The green chilli plate is wonderful. The Monday & Tuesday taco specials are great and only $5.99 5*****

I cannot say enough good about this place! The server/ cashier (Eric) is very knowledgeable and friendly! He multi tasks very quick! and is patient. The food portions are huge for your money. And omg both times I've been here the food has been phenomenal! There is more meat in the 5 for 5.99 Tuesday tacos than veggies. Just can't say enough good!

Good place to eat.Second time I've eaten here. Very satisfied. Good service, clean, good food. First time went on taco Tuesday, 5 for $5.99. They were very good. Second trip got the #7 with 2 beef burritos. Beans and rice good but nothing special. The beef burritos were huge and I thought were very good. One burrito would do most people. I really like their salsa bar inside. Several choices along with fresh limes, jalapenos, and radishes. I am a Bueno fan also, but in my opinion this is a slight notch and the prices reflect that yet still reasonable for what you get.
