Abbaee Soondae

Food DELICIOUS service INCREDIBLE portions OUTSTANDING. I gotta say the radish kimchi is the best I ever had I even bought some to take home. Everything was delicious and everyone was super nice. I had leftovers to take home and the meat was good even reheated.

Generously portioned dishes with attentive and polite service. The soondae and egg soufflé were quite good, though the spicy pork neck soup lacked flavor. During my visit, I didn’t see any non-Korean speakers in the restaurant, but this spot is worth considering despite its location. It offers some of the most authentic Korean food you’ll find.

I recommend the regular soondae and jokbal. Try out their soups as well. I didn't really like the other soondae, but that's probably more of a personal preference. The jokbal is so good though. It comes with side dishes that complement the main dish so well.

Sundae Tang was tasty but not extraordinary during my first visit. I felt the service and atmosphere could use some improvement. However, I planned to return to try other dishes. Update: 05-05-2025 Upon dining there again, I noticed significant service improvements. The food tasted good, especially the Modum Soondae and Spicy Beef Tripe Soup. The atmosphere was clean and tidy, and I observed non-Korean customers enjoying their meals, which clearly indicates that this restaurant is popular among Koreans and others. This second visit prompted me to change my original 4-star rating to a 5-star rating. I will return to try more dishes soon!
