A Squared Pizza

Ok, so it actually tasted good but…about an inch of straight up dough and almost no toppings, just sauce. Probably only reason it has some taste. Definitely not worth the price and the 4.7. I had the animal medium. See images…

We were not as impressed as some. I made the mistake of ordering "crispy" which according to the dude making the pies is the same thing as well done, which in the case of my two pies meant essentially nearly burnt cheese around the perimeter. This also cooked most of the pepperoni in to pepperoni "crisps"! Not what I was looking for. I probably wont order more, but if I did I would know better next time. The reason the pepperoni got over done beyond not realizing "crispy" was the same as "well done", is the way they build these pies is bread, then cheese then toppings, then AFTER the pizza is baked they ladle stripes of the sauce down the pie (these were red sauce pizzas). This leaves pepperoni directly exposed to the baking heat with not much moisture to protect them. I ordered a custom

I love a pizza that’s not afraid to go hard on the sauce. Excellent crust, good flavor, and it was ready on time. We’ll be back if passing through town again.

Amazing experience. We built our own pizza with sausage, green pepper, red onion, and hot honey—absolutely fantastic. The focaccia-style crust was beyond delicious and clearly homemade with care and high-quality ingredients. My wife ate more pizza than I’ve ever seen, which says everything. You can tell every detail is made in-house, right down to the ranch dressing. This is officially our new favorite pizza place in Charlottesville.

So GOOD. No indoor seating but very friendly inside. Food was made to order, so fresh, and so delicious. Great flavors, and the best homemade ranch... The owner said a medium usually feeds two, but we could only finish 1-2 slices each and will happily have some leftovers for later. 😍
