A New Beginning Bed and Breakfast is reflective of what you think about when you imagine experiencing a traditional bed and breakfast. Denise and Al were both welcoming, friendly, and warm from start to finish. They were kind enough to allow us to check-in early with our 22 month old toddler, who was recovering from a fever, giving us a place to rest and recover when we had nowhere to go. The house is beautifully decorated with many Christmas decorations and personal touches from Denise and Al to highlight their history. The rooms were comfortable and had a private bathroom in each of them, saving us the trouble of having to navigate a shared bathroom. The wife and I stayed at Denise and Al's wonderful B&B for 2 nights in early November as we were in the area to explore Lancaster County. This beautifully maintained 100+ year old home is in a very convenient location and had everything we were looking for. The room was clean and comfortable and Denise's cooking was first-class. The owners were welcoming and we had some wonderful conversations with the other guest around the breakfast table. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. Jack and Jean C. We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast. Al and Denise were the perfect host and hostess. Both were so friendly and so easy to talk to. They are very knowledgeable about the area and steered us to some very interesting places to see while we were there. |The breakfasts that Denise prepared each morning were outstanding. She even uses locally sourced foods when she can. I wish that she would write a cookbook or have a packet of recipes that she uses available! When we returned each evening from our days events, she had hot tea and a snack prepared and set out.|The rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable. This was exactly the vacation and time away that my husband and I needed after a very stressful year! Denise and Al made us feel so, so very welcome in their wonderful bed and breakfast, from the inviting decor to the excellent breakfast to the great conversations we shared. The location was also exactly what we wanted - peaceful and quiet, and not too far from the city center of Lancaster (we even walked there one day!).
