You'll quickly realize you're in a special place once you walk in and can smell the butter in the air from making croissants. Had croissant, lemon tart, and macarons. Everything was delicious. The only problem I have is that the lemon tart wasn't larger. It was so delicious I wish I would have bought a dozen, although I would have ate them in one sitting. The croissant was airy and flavorful. I didn't try the macarons but we're told they were good.

Unmatchable. Definitively the best pastries I’ve ever had in the entire greater Chicagoland area!!! I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t visited this bakery in person yet, but I am determined to remedy that mistake soon! Several of my families and friends have gifted me numerous pastries from this place. Each bite was an absolute delight. Also, whoever gave this bakery a four star review, claiming that the cakes were too small… I would disregard that person completely. The cakes are totally a reasonable size. Not too small and not too big - it took me and my husband several moderately sized bites to finish each one. Now, if I did have a mouth large enough to stuff the whole masterpiece in my mouth, I would totally do so. Addicting!

This is my favorite bakery in the suburbs, no contest. After visiting France, I was hoping to find a place with authentic French baked goods. À la Folie has the best pastries you can get. They have a rotating selection and seasonal offerings. I love that everything is made fresh and delicious. I come here at least once a week. Highly recommend!

The best place to get amazing French pastries! They use the best ingredients and everything tastes as good as it looks. A must stop shop for anything sweet and unique.

I ordered the Bahia and the Opera and both are amazing. The only reason why this is not five stars for me is because of the size. For almost $10 each I was expecting to have a bigger size for all their desserts. Anyone can fit one of these desserts in their mouth at once except for the Opera which is a two biter.
