I am a traveler and like to boast about having travelled to quite a few places in the USA. To the best of my knowledge, some of the best and nearly authentic Indian restaurants are in New Jersey and the Bay area in California. On comparison with such restaurants, I would rate this restaurant nothing more than normal (3/5). However, it wouldn't be fair to do such a comparison. In the San Diego area though, this is one of the good Indian restaurants that I have been to and does a pretty decent job of keeping some, if not all of the cuisines authentic, particularly the south Indian ones which are relatively less represented in the US. For this, this restaurant deserves a 4 on 5 stars.

This place was amazing when it first opened. It's too mainstream now. Short on staff, slow service, portions are smaller, drinks are served in to-go cups. Not impressed. They took forever to take our order and waited 30+ mins for our food. We were there for about 50mins and they checked on us once. Pros: they're on grubhub now

The worst food and service I ever had here after 2 months. The food is not having any Indian flavors in it. The front desk people don't even care if customers are waiting for long time asking for food.

The buffet include lots of choices and high priced for a buffet place. The biggest criticism i have about this place is too much salted curries. When i lived in India the lunch places always add salt to the rice (it seems you end up drinking a lot of water which keep your stomach filled thus eat less food). Is this restaurant trying the same old trick here? Shame on you! good things the dosa and the appetizers are delightful Chaotic environment, messy waiters and managers running around like chickens. If you like all these you may enjoy this place

Hubby always brings me here when I'm craving Indian food. It's buffet style and if you're vegetarian they have a while section catered to you (10-15 entrees). If you're not vegetarian no worries there's just as many meat entrees as well. Food is absolutely amazing.
