A true gem on 48th Street. The food at 48th St. Grill is nothing short of phenomenal—genuine, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. Every dish hit the mark. The wings were seared to perfection, locking in juices that burst with every bite. Even the Jamaican patty, which they source rather than make in-house, came alive with their potato sauce—unexpectedly amazing. The red bean soup? Out of this world. It tasted and felt like home. Everything was presented with care, and the space itself is clean, vibrant, and welcoming. Five bold, beautiful colors greet you as you walk in, and even the bathrooms are spotless—a detail that matters. It’s an easy spot to get to, right on the bus line and close to campus. Whether you’re craving heat, sweetness, or just a place that understands flavor and comfort

The food is tasty. Portion size could improve for the price, particularly referring to the brown stew chicken. More chicken and less bone, skin, gristle would help as well as the actual portion of the chicken item is small. The bread pudding is excellent, not overly sweet and with great texture and flavor. The garlic mashed potatoes are perfect. The barbecue wings are actually 5 pieces, not 5 wings and over-priced The turkey burger is good. The grits are so-so. A bit too watery and could be cooked more. The salmon and pasta is good and it’s filling. The red bean soup is pretty good.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood. The food is always so good. Last time I went in I met who I think is the owner, maybe a manager, not sure, but he was so kind and went to each table to check in. The catfish and waffles is 10/10. I keep going back!

The food is incredible! Only downside was I didn't have more room in my stomach to try more things. Conch Fritters and Crispy Cauliflower were highlights but everything I had was solid. It's fresh, well executed and uncomplicated. And do NOT skip the cheesecake. They source it from a local bakery and hands down best cheesecake I've had. The atmosphere is very approachable for an evening out or laid back for getting take out for an evening in. You can order via the QR code on the tables, but the servers are attentive throughout the meal. Parking was easy for me, but it's Philly, so don't bank on parking being easy. It's a family run business and you feel the warmth, love and care that goes into all the little details that make a restaurant great.

Caribbean food restaurant with very friendly staff. We walked in with no reservations right before the restaurant was swamped for due to dinner rush. The crowd is a mix of locals and it was very nice to see multiple ethnicities in one place enjoying scrumptious food. Menu has a variety of seafood and meat dishes even some pasta dishes. We ordered the jerk chicken which comes with rice, beans, cabbage, and white and dark meat pieces of chicken coated in a thin gravy. The meat was juicy, portion massive and meaty with flavor not spice so don't be deterred to order because you think it will be too spicy it is more about the spices then it being spicy. My partner ordered the stewed chicken curry dish and it was very tasty just wish the meat were more meaty then bony. The selling point here is
