Customer Reviews
Amazing food! Loved the Cajun penne and they really made it hot/spicy which I appreciated. Also the best brownie sundae I’ve ever had - the ice cream was so creamy and smooth and the brownie was still warm!
Fantastic breakfast stop! We went to 3rd Coast Cafe to start our weekend in Chicago, and it was an amazing stop. My omelette was made to perfection, and my wife really enjoyed her chocolate chip pancakes and hashbrowns. It is worth the trip down the steps to the 3rd Coast Cafe for a delicious breakfast with a pleasant atmosphere!
Visiting family in Chicago this weekend and ate here. This place is fabulous! All the food we had for lunch was really delicious but the meatball appetizer was my favorite. We went back a second time for breakfast and the breakfast burritos were great. The service was also really good. We will be back!
Great history and nice atmosphere, but the food is disappointing. Pancake batter is basic, blueberries frozen, and the coffee tastes like Folgers. My son’s granola was the only decent dish. They try to be upscale, but in the Gold Coast you expect more than bland, non-organic food.
It's been so long since I've been here, at least over ten years. I'm just happy to see that they're still around. It was a memorable experience when I was last in Chicago. After we were there I wrote an email in 2009: Hey 3rd Coast!! We were there this past saturday for brunch, Mika was great!! Just wanted to return the good vibes he gave us and thanks for making Chicago that much more special.
