First exsperance left us feeling like family. House made sauces and dressings as well as an exclusive gluten free fryer for a great selection of food options. Was already planning the next visit before the meal was even over. Live music events and Happy hour specials.

Ok, 38 West Pub & Grille IS the proverbial Diamond in the rough! The food is amazing, the service is 1st class and the atmosphere is perfect for casual dining. If you are within 30 miles of this place, it is a must go in your Maine restaurant trips. They have an expansive bar, great beer selection & plenty of room in the dining area.

To advertise as a Irish pub is a embarrassment to the Irish. Went for a date night on a night they advertise online and on the table as "ladies" night. Not one special for ladies and the waitress just told me they used to have a special for tacos on ladies night but don't anymore. Come on.. tacos? At a Irish pub? And not even a discount on the ladies beer? That's just one rant.. they have barely any Irish dishes on their menu and French fries cost more than an expensive brew at $10. Appetizer was cold, and dishes were disappointing for price. Will never go again, let alone a nice date night. I will say the waitress was on point and friendly but the bartender before we left made me uncomfortable while eating her food at the bar staring at us.

Very nice staff. Clean and friendly place. 2 burgers we ordered were extremely ruined by being overly well done. Struggled to eat 1/2. Flavor was good with the bbq sauce, bacon and rings. Too bad the “cook” had to decimated, ruin the meat. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Had soda, 1 beer and swapped out regular fries for sweet potatoes for one and rings for other. Bill was just over $60.

This is the second time I've been here. Absolutely love it! The live music was great tonight. Had some lemonades, the Lamb Burger with their russet potato fries and honey mustard, and got an appetizer. Ordered the small serving of Irish Nachos and then added corned beef. My new favorite appetizer. I've had the Irish Quesadilla too, but I think the Nachos are better. Good parking, great service. Can't wait to try more items!
