Customer Reviews
We have been to this restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed dining here for its food and service, prior to their earning of a Michelin star. The pacing of the food improved so that we're not spending more than 3 hours eating. We really enjoyed the cooked courses, very flavorful and creative. The nigiris were very fresh but were all a bit too mild in flavors we thought, nothing exceptional, except for the monk fish liver which was so delicious on its own, no additional seasoning required. I had a second helping. It truly is foie gras of the sea. Service was fairly attentive and the hostess was friendly. The atmosphere is typical of a refined Japanese omakase restaurant, really reminded me of dining in Tokyo and Kyoto, which we have missed so much. Overall, we really enjoyed our dining ex
A truly authentic and memorable omakase experience. From the serene, clean, and welcoming entrance, you know you're in for something special. The chef's selection was a journey of traditional flavors, where the incredible freshness of each piece of fish was allowed to shine. The rice was perfection—warm, with just the right seasoning and texture to complement the neta. Service was attentive and unobtrusive; our tea and sake pairing were refilled seamlessly throughout the evening. An exemplary dining experience where every element is considered.
I had a wonderful dining experience! the ambiance was very relaxing and the pacing of the meal was just right. the fish was very fresh and very well prepared. the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly! would definitely recommend for an omakase experience! especially since they partner with artists and vendors from Japan!
I had an excellent time! First omakase expertise and I thought why not at Boston’s only Michelin star. The food and sake was excellent and I’m so happy I got to live that experience. I really enjoyed the attention to detail as well as the tatami mat style used throughout the night. Unfortunately Chef Wei was unable to serve any food due to a small injury, but the other chefs did an excellent job, and Chef Wei was still around to ask us our opinions on the food and thank us for coming.
I’ve had the pleasure of dining here several times the past couple of years and can say that the experience and quality of food is always beyond incredible. Chef Wei has some staples to the menu that remain consistent and excellent, while also integrating seasonal ingredients into new dishes depending on the time of year and what was available for the day. Every experience I’ve had here has been truly special and one I always cherish.
