Best place to get pastries in the area! I’ve been here several times and the pastries are always amazing!.The taste and texture of them is really good. They remind me of ones I’ve had in Portugal. SUPER flavorful, but not overly sweet. They’re all amazing but my favorites are the orange, rice, and pasteis de nata.

Today I tried - 3 Flags Bakery - for the first time. Being December, the weather is blustery today, and the smell of warm fresh bread was so comforting. The place is filled with mostly Portuguese baked goods, and all of it looked tempting and delicious. I saw a little glass case with what looked like small rolls inside... I asked the lady what they were and she told me that it was “chorice bread” ...they looked so good; I had to try one... It looked great, it was warm and it smelled awesome. The bread was filled with chorice (Portuguese sausage) and it was fantastic! I can’t wait to come back again and try something else! Update: I went back... they had these little empanada looking things; steak, chicken, ham and cheese.. I got one of each. All of them were super good! I also tried a “S

I had given this bakery, a five star review in the past. I am now editing that review. I no longer frequent this bakery. The last time I went I paid under $20 for a small birthday cake. I ordered another one and when I went to pick it up, I had to wait 20 minutes for somebody to come into the bakery to write on it. Then they charged me $40 for the same cake. I understand prices have grown up but that’s ridiculous. That is the reason I no longer frequent this bakery. Also the people who wait on you, if you’re not lucky to get someone who speaks English, it’s very difficult to communicate.

Spotted this place on the way to Blackstone River park and decided to stop in on my way home. The most delicious little tarts -- moist and not too sweet, a wonderful, delicate texture. I took home one orange and one almond and will go back to try others. The Portuguese soup was very tasty. The guava turnover was just okay -- the guava filling was flavorful but the pastry wasn't special. Nonetheless, I'm curious about the coconut turnover and the many Bundt cakes I saw in their case.
