1897 BBQ

Great food. Live music when we went. Pretty good bar. My wife loved their blackberry lemonade and I was a fan of their moonshine. Make sure you try their oreo fluff desert. Chicken and brisket was where its at. Yum.

1897 BBQ has been on our radar for a few weeks. My wife and father in law had popped in for lunch and raved about the pulled pork sandwich, jalepeno mac and cheese and (insert drum roll here) the spoon bread with honey butter. Our hearts tonight were set on the brisket, however the 1897 BBQ crew had an unfortunate for us no brisket on the menu tonight and we were unable to try the brisket. Now this slight breach of bbq etiquette enabled our small group to try the ribs. The Mrs went for ribs, jalepeno mac and cheese and the spoon bread. I was a bit more adventurous and went for the two meat plate consisting of pulled pork, ribs, jalepeno mac and cheese and spoon bread. Our friends choose wisely and split a two meat plate. WOW what GREAT FOOD!! I had the brisket and cornbread it was DELICIOUS!! (A must try) The service great as well. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. I will be back.

We stopped by tonight, mmmm, mmm, good! We had The Big Henry, Sampler plate, and Smoked Burger. All the food was very delicious. They have three different BBQ sauces right at the table, House, Sweet and Spicy and Raspberry. The atmosphere is great and staff is very friendly. We heard that live music will be played from time to time as well. Great place to eat!!

Absolutely love it 😀. We will return. It's a gem of a bbq restaurant in the heart of Columbia city Indiana. Portions are fantastic and very well priced.
