108 Ale House is hands down the BEST spot in town! Their Tickle My Pickle Burger is a flavor bomb... Juicy, perfectly seasoned, with crunchy pickles, perfectly cooked bacon, and a delicious homemade ranch sauce that make EVERY bite unforgettable! Their Gyro Wrap is nothing short of perfection... Fresh, tender, and full of flavor! The vibes, service, and food are always top tier!! A true must-try in Effingham!

Finally got to visit my favorite burger spot again after living out of state — and it was just as amazing as I remembered! Everything we had was fantastic. We shared the garlic fries (highly recommend getting them with both the beer cheese and the ranch), and tried both the Loco Burger and the Hula Burger — all were delicious! Service was fast and super friendly, and the atmosphere was very family-friendly. Honestly, the only downside is that it’s too far away! Can’t wait to come back again.

Local restaurant. Great service. Tried the grilled ham and cheese. Very good. Husband had the Loco Burger. It's a week's worth of sandwich! Side salad was good. 11/2024: 11am is the perfect timing for a high anxiety introvert as myself. The service was exceptional! The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. That rise and shine burger was amazing. Amy was my server and very friendly, outgoing, top tier attentive person. 2022: This place gets crowded fast starting around 2:30/3pm! I don’t like crowds, but for those without anxiety issues- no worries. Before the crowd bustled in we were only about 2-3 tables worth of customers and it took quite some time for our server to approach us… other than that, she was wonderful- soft spoken young lady, but attentive and did all she could to help with issues. They were voted best burgers in Effingham County for a reason! We tried a cheeseburger, cooked medium, with all the fixin’s and WOW was it GOOD! The burger was juicy and had that grilled meat flavor that most burger joints just can’t get right. With our burger we got their garlic fries (basically just fries tossed in a buttery sauce with minced garlic) and HOLY MOLY they were AMAZING. We also decided to try their buffalo wings with blue cheese and ranch and they were big, but not too big. Fried up crispy with a classic butter & hot sauce coating. The sweet tea was PERFECTION.
